Château de Cauze

The estate was built on the ruins of a fortified castle destroyed during the Hundred Years’ War. The Duke Decazes, serving as a *jurat* in 1622, settled in the family residence until 1626. Over the centuries, the property passed through various owners until 1986, when the Laporte family, originally from the neighboring Montagne Saint-Émilion appellation, purchased it from a Dutch group.
