Le Chant des Garrigues

From a red sandstone terroir near Saint-Chinian, this wine is a blend of Syrah (50%), Grenache (25%) and 80-year-old Carignan (25%). Vinified in the old-fashioned way, where all the grape varieties ferment together, it is matured for 12 months in vats. The nose reveals aromas of violets and liquorice, while the palate combines finesse and power. This well-balanced wine, ideal for laying down (2 to 5 years), goes perfectly with red meats, game, leg of lamb and cheeses.
